The uniform is a vital part of a cadets self discipline.Cadets are required to wear their uniform every Monday, and part of your overall grade is based off of uniform inspection. Cadets are also required to wear their uniforms at drill competitions, and for formal community events that CA-901 attend.

Every cadet earns a significant amount of ribbons over the course of their ROTC career. Ribbons signify various achievements that the cadet has accomplished individually or in their respective drill teams. Some ribbons are national awards, that are given to cadets that qualify for the specific requirements of the award.
Cords
Cords are worn by various members of the cadet corps who have jobs within the corps or participate in drill teams. However there are ceremonial cords that require the cadets to compete against one another to earn them. These cords are BDI (best drilled individual) and COM (cadet of the month) and have the perks of showing cadet prestige and require all other cadets to salute them to acknowledge their accomplishment
